While I don't condone Holder's actions (is he Muslim? If so, that would explain everything.), I am excited the media is finally taking this administration to task about SOMETHING. It is about time!

We have had over four years of the media whitewashing of DC's actions while coming down hard on those who want control over their own lives. Maybe the rose colored glasses are finally getting scratched.

Finally, the actions of of this administration have removed the rose colored glasses from the eyes of some the media. The IRS has always been a gestapo-like organization that has the congress by the proverbial sensitive hold and there is no way any changes to the IRS code are going to happen.

A good analysis, but we haven't gone far enough to correct the problems. I foresee more debacles caused by the people that are placed in leadership positions.

My 94 days in USMC Boot camp in 73 and my 30 days Correctional Custody (USMC, Okinawa, Japan at age 30) were worse than Gitmo. They get their ethnic food, prayer rugs, Koran, books, nice weather. I lost 30 lbs in 3 weeks doing hard labor at CC, I say do the same for all criminals and terrorists.

It doesn't stain me. We should send more criminal to Gitmo and give them the same treatment we give the terrorist we're holding there. The three bothers in Cleveland who kidnapped and raped those three girls for a decade should be sent down there and held without trial.

There is no shame associated with Gtmo and its housing of terrorists or in its alleged, by the media, treatment. Yes, the prisoners are "on a hunger strike and they should be allowed to strike until they die, if that is their wish. That we are force-feeding them is a waste of our tax money.

Terrorists don't belong on the street and they have no right to Mirandizing or trial by their "peers" or to any other "rights". They should be held in solitary confinement with no privileges until terrorism is ended. They are not soldiers held as prisoners of war to be repatriated at the end of the war; they are enemy non-combatants, terrorists, and we can repatriate them when the war on terrorism is ended, not before.

To Chillibreath: Don't you realize that our current administration has lied since day one and they wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them in their faces?

Great questions. The sad and embarrassing answer is that without a trial, charges and a chance to offer a defense, we really don't know. However, if by "same cloth" you mean Muslim, then that's an unfair and inaccurate conclusion. Bad guys need to be found to be actual bad guys and not simply coreligionists. We are about law and process.

Aren't the guys we're holding in Gitmo cut from the same cloth as those who hijacked American passenger planes and flew them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon? Aren't these also the same Islamic zealots who take great pride in beheading their prisoners in front of a video cam with full sound? That being the case I think we're showing the Gitmo zombies a lot more humane treatment then they have shown to us. End of story end of discussion, let's move on to more important issues, i.e., what really happened to our folks in the Benghazi consulate 7 months ago and why were the American people lied to by our current administration?

Well written and well thought out. Gitmo is one of those things we've been conditioned to accept but not necessarily given all of the info necessary to make an intelligent decision about. As time goes on and more of the "logic" is dispelled the more ashamed I am of myself and my fellow Americans. I am a huge fan of our president but keeping Gitmo open without the hope of our resumption of the moral way is despicable and truly a reality check in our time.

It is truly a shame on us that we have held these humans in such conditions for so long. Despite the fact that we have a 100% conviction rate for terrorists (criminals)in our court system, we cannot now try the people incarcerated at GITMO in federal courts, precisely because they were not merandized, they were tortured, and they were not tried in a timely manner. They would automatically be freed. Maybe that is our punishment for not living up to our professed morals.

Just for the record, Christians are notorious for trying to convert non-believers and stray sheep with steady harangue and diatribe. Muslims on the other hand (at least the radicals) believe their "book" (the Qur'an) is way more than gospel, and it does say: Kneel before Allah or be killed. Obviously not every Muslim thinks this is a good way to entice converts but, sadly, many on the fundamentalist side do. So how does the Western World deal with this? How should Israel deal with this?

In all fairness I will say not all Muslims are terrorists, but correct me if I'm wrong on this next point: is it not true that radical Muslims somehow feel it is their sworn duty to strike out (verbally and physically) against all those who do not yield to Islam or offend Islam? Earl, Earl, Earl; they were NOT automatic "weapons" as you so cavalierly state, they were (watch my lips!) semi-automatic firearms, i.e., only one shot with each pull of the trigger.
